Me again – I have registrations but I can see no Campers at http://this.thatcamp.org/campers/ Do I need to edit something on the template/widget side to get these up?
Thanks in advance for your help!
JamesFebruary 27, 2016 at 12:29 PM #5416Amanda FrenchKeymasterSorry for delay in reply — was traveling! Have fixed this: the “Campers” page needs to have its page template set to “Campers” (Pages –> [Page title] –> Quick Edit (or Edit) –> Page Template). This is supposed to be on by default for that page, so I’ll look into why it wasn’t for you. See also our help page on THATCamp websites at http://thatcamp.org/help/organize/website/.

JamesMarch 2, 2016 at 7:24 AM #5419James BakerParticipantFurther to, my colleague Sharon Webb http://thatcamp.org/people/sharonwebb/camps/ is admin for http://this.thatcamp.org/ but does not appear as a camper. She tells me she can’t register. Is there anything I can do to make her appear?

March 2, 2016 at 10:53 AM #5421Amanda FrenchKeymasterShe does appear: she’s the last icon in the bottom row on the right on your Campers page (hover over the link and you’ll see that it links to http://this.thatcamp.org/profile/sharonwebb/. She would need to enter her name and/or a photo in her profile to make it clear that it’s she.
She can’t register because she’s already a user: the main point of registration is to create the person a user account on the site. If it bothers you to have the registration list and the user list out of sync, you could remove her as a user and let her fill out the registration form.
Admittedly, the registration form should probably give you an error message along the lines of “You are already a user on this site” when you submit a registration request and are already a user, which I’ve just tested and which apparently it doesn’t do. We don’t have any developers currently who might add such a message, but maybe this weekend I can take a look to see if I can add it in myself. It’s probably beyond my capacity, though. Sorry!
