My background is a bit jumbled as I have a background in Geology and Environmental Health which has allowed me to work as a Population Health Consultant as a full time job with the Public Health Department in Hamilton, Ontario and have interesting side jobs doing Geophysics and working with Geographic Information Systems. The interesting thing now is I am working as a PDF in New Media at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. This all came about as I worked as a faculty member in the Geography and earth Science department where I did a lot of teaching had a good time doing it. This opened up to an opportunity to work in the Lyons New Media Centre (http://library.mcmaster.ca/lyons) and help integrate the use of new media in courses around campus from all faculties. It is a great position that lets me talk to students and faculty on a daily basis about new media and how it can be better used on campus.
