I am currently finishing an M.A. in Public History at American University. My most recent research is on how and when Americans stopped thinking of Abraham Lincoln as ugly. Under the Twitter handle @afamhistfail (African American History Fail), I tweet ways I witnessed white tourists resisting learning about slavery at a historic site at which I worked.
