I'm a biographer interested in using visual evidence - objects, photographs, art - to tell individual lives. My first book on Clover Adams, a gifted 19thc. photographer, was published in 2012 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. My next project is on the life of Isabella Stewart Gardner.
